Our trainees offer support to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

What is this service?

Our Children and Young People Well-Being Practitioners (CWP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) trainees deliver support as part of the NHS England funded Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (IAPT).

Who is it for?

Children and young people aged 5-19yrs

What does it offer?

Our Children’s Well-Being Practitioners are trainees who are able to deliver guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.

Our Cognitive Behavioural Therapists (in training) are able to deliver outcome-focused evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing difficulties such as: Anxiety, General Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Phobia, Depression, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Where is it available?

The service is available countywide across Kent.
