Youth Service

Salus believes in giving access to community based facilities and a diverse range of activities to improve young people’s social skills, emotional health and wellbeing. We work hard to offer both a universal and targeted approach to our youth provision and recognise the value of working with young people at risk of social exclusion. We aim to engage and build positive relationships with families, the wider community and partners, to empower them as active partners in the delivery of our services.

We offer both centre based and outreach facilities within the areas in which we work.  Currently these are: Maidstone District, Folkestone & Hythe District, Tonbridge & Malling District and Tunbridge Wells District.  All sessions are delivered by trained integrated youth workers alongside sessional and volunteer youth workers, with further support from young leaders.

We offer opportunities to gain accredited qualifications including:

  • UK Youth – Youth Achievement Awards
  • Sportsleader UK Courses
  • GB Boxing Awards
  • Basic First Aid

Shepway Youth and Community Centre (Maidstone) and Hythe Youth Centre are also registered as Arts Award Centres.
