Helen is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN, Health Visiting). She started working in the NHS in 2010 and moved into working in specialist mental health services for children and young people in 2018. In this field, Helen worked as a Specialist Safeguarding Children Nurse for an NHS Trust and as a Modern Matron for an inpatient adolescent unit. She has also worked as a nurse in eating disorders and crisis services, providing support and care for young people and their families in times of profound vulnerability. Helen moved into a commissioning role in 2023 but chose to move back into provider services in 2026, when she joined Salus as the Clinical Lead for the Kent Therapeutic Alliance. Helen is passionate about providing high quality, safe services for children and young people seeking support for their emotional wellbeing, helping them to navigate difficult periods, build resilience and thrive.
