Sessional Youth Workers

Salus is a social enterprise established to deliver services to children and young people. We have been commissioned to deliver Youth Services across Kent.

We are currently seeking Sessional Youth Workers to help implement our range of centre and street-based youth services in the both areas. The role will involve working directly with young people and agencies, offering services and support with an aim to improve young people’s emotional health and well-being.

We are looking for talented individuals, experienced in working directly with young people in creative and innovative ways to achieve the best possible outcomes. The post will require energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of this highly valued service.

Youth Worker Apprentice

 Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience and a formal qualification in youth work?  Would you like to gain this experience within a forward thinking social enterprise that supports communities to make a real difference to their lives?

If your answer is “yes!” to these questions, then we hope you will be interested to hear that we are seeking to appoint a well organised and enthusiastic individual with good communication and IT skills to join our friendly and inclusive team.

As a Youth Work Apprentice you will be expected to undertake an interesting and varied workload. You will be responsible for supporting youth work team.

In addition you will be supported to achieve a suitable qualification.

Fixed term one year contract with the opportunity for on going employment.

Youth Workers

We are currently seeking a full and part-time Youth Worker to work alongside the Senior Youth Worker in the Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells Districts, to implement a range of centre and outreach-based youth services in the districts. The role will involve working directly with young people and supporting the Senior worker in day-to-day administration and running of sessions and projects, to offer a service of support with an aim to improve young people’s emotional health and well-being.

We are looking for a talented individual, with experience in working directly with young people in creative and innovative ways to achieve the best possible outcomes. This post will require energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of this highly valued service.

Location: Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells Districts
Contract Details:

  • Full-time – 37 hours per week. Mainly evenings and may include weekend work.
  • Part-time – 22 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Mainly evenings and may include weekend work.

Administration Officer

Based in Smeeth, Ashford

Salus is a social enterprise at the cutting edge of services for children, young people, families, and communities.

We are currently looking for an experienced individual to provide administrative and clerical support to members of the management team.

The role is interesting and varied and requires the post holder to assist in all aspects of the service and take a proactive role in relation to day-to-day functioning.

Previous experience of administrative roles is essential and proficiency in Microsoft Office will be required.

The successful candidate will need to be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

StandUp! Healthy Relationships Officer

£23,000 - £26,000 (pro-rata for term-time only)

Salus is a social enterprise, at the cutting edge of service delivery, seeking to improve outcomes for children and young people across Kent.

Over many years of working with young people in Kent, we have seen an increase in unhealthy and abusive behaviours in adolescent relationships that mirrors national trends.

We are currently seeking a Healthy Relationships Officer to tackle this emerging trend by supporting and empowering young people to take action to improve knowledge, change expectations, raise awareness and strengthen community resources.

We are looking for a talented individual to use their knowledge of domestic abuse and creativity to develop a high-quality education and youth social action programme, for identified groups of young people, to achieve the project aim.

This post will require energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of this exciting and dynamic service.

  • 1 x part-time, 3 days per week. Term time only. September 22 – July 23

Fixed term contract until July 2023, extension of contract subject to continued funding.
