Social Skills

These programmes are ideal for children and young people who are socially isolated and have difficulty:

  • In building a network of friends
  • In taking turns during conversations
  • In maintaining eye contact
  • Understanding others points of view
  • Understanding social cues both verbal and non-verbal

Overall Aims:

Children and young people participating in Salus Social Skills Programmes will be offered the opportunity to:

  • Develop good listening skills
  • Develop positive communication skills
  • Understand their own emotions and those of others
  • Understand what a good friend is
  • Give and accept compliments
  • Take turns when participating in group activities

6, 8 or 10 weeks
