Bereavement and Loss

This programme is suitable for primary aged pupils who have suffered a bereavement.

The Salus bereavement and loss programme is an activity based discussion focusing on emotional well-being and making sense of their experience while remembering their loved one in a positive way.

Overall Aims:

Children and young people participating in Salus Bereavement and Loss programmes will be offered the opportunity to:

  • Discuss emotions and the stages of grief
  • Make sense of their own personal experience of bereavement and loss

Length of delivery:
6 weeks, 1 hr per week (or as long as support is required)
