Salus are able to offer training to Midday Supervisors that covers 3 core areas:
- The role of Midday Supervisor
- Listening and communication to include the use of restorative language
- Promoting positive behaviour
Participants will be offered the opportunity to:
- Celebrate the strengths, skills and experience which Midday Supervisors bring with them to their workplace
- Relate existing practise to the school behaviour policy
- Develop an understanding of what the children and parents want from Midday Supervisors.
- Develop positive listening and communication skills
- Participate in discussion around the use of restorative language
- Discuss positive behaviours, reprimands and incentives
These training sessions can be offered in 2 formats
- One off 2 hour basic training
- Supported training (2 hour basic training, 2 x 1.5 hour playground support sessions, 1.5 hour follow up training/support session)
