Anti-Bullying Week 2016 Theme Launched!

25 May 2016

Anti-Bullying Week 14th – 18th November 2016

As core members of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, Salus are delighted that the theme for this year’s Anti-Bullying Week is: ‘Power for Good’.

The key aims are to:

  • support children and young people to use their Power for Good – by understanding the ways in which they are powerful and encouraging individual and collective action to stop bullying and create the best world possible
  • help parents and carers to use their Power for Good – through supporting children with issues relating to bullying and working together with schools to stop bullying
  • encourage all teachers, school support staff and youth workers to use their Power for Good – by valuing the difference they can make in a child’s life, and taking individual and collective action to prevent bullying and create safe environments where children can thrive

We are now accepting advance bookings for our school Anti-Bullying Week workshops, and are busy creating activities and resources that are geared to support this theme and give your pupils the confidence to use their Power for Good.

The workshops will provide your pupils, their parents/carers and school staff with ideas and practical steps that anyone can take to become an ‘Upstander’; being able to recognise when something is wrong and the best way they can act to make it right. To secure a workshop on your preferred date and take advantage of a 10% early booking discount (saving £60) on full day bookings, contact us to book a slot before Wednesday 20th July 2016.
