Do you have a professional background that gives you the knowledge to work with families for maximum impact? Do you have wide ranging and diverse skills gained through experience of working with families in challenging circumstances?

Most importantly, do you have the personal skills and values to be creative and resilient in engaging families, to offer practical focused support and challenge, to recognise parents as experts and at all times, to ‘think family’.

Family Focused Transition Mentors

Do you want a role that enables you to make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families in Kent? Do you recognise the challenges of transition between primary and secondary school? Do you believe that families have a vital role in making the transition successful? Do you want to build emotional well-being and resilience with children, young people and their families?

Do you have the professional experience and skills to work with children, young people and their families individually and in groups? Can you demonstrate the difference you can make?

If your answer is “yes!” to these questions, then we hope you may be interested to hear that we are seeking to appoint a Family Focused Transition Mentor as part of the HeadStart Kent Programme. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to use evidence based approaches and programmes of support to achieve maximum impact.

While your background may be in education, counselling, youth work or any other related area, we are particularly looking for highly motivated, dynamic and talented individuals, experienced at working creatively and innovatively, in group settings, to achieve change.

Based in Gravesham on a 0.6FTE (3 days a week, negotiable) fixed term contract until December 2018. Extension subject to continued funding.

Sessional Youth Workers

Salus is a social enterprise established to deliver services to children and young people. We have been commissioned to deliver Youth Services in Maidstone, Shepway, Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge & Malling Districts.

We are currently seeking Sessional Youth Workers to help implement our range of centre and street-based youth services in the both areas. The role will involve working directly with young people and agencies, offering services and support with an aim to improve young people’s emotional health and well-being.

We are looking for talented individuals, experienced in working directly with young people in creative and innovative ways to achieve the best possible outcomes. The post will require energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of this highly valued service.

Senior Integrated Youth Worker

Salus is a social enterprise established to deliver services to children and young people. We have recently been commissioned to deliver centre based and detached Youth Services in the districts of Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge & Malling.

We are currently seeking a Senior Integrated Youth Officer to coordinate and deliver our range of centre and street-based youth services in these districts. This will include youth work, planning, delivery and management of some staff. The role will involve working alongside our partners and directly with young people and agencies, offering services and support with an aim to improve young people’s emotional health and well-being.

We are looking for a talented individual, experienced in supervising a team and working directly with young people in creative and innovative ways to achieve the best possible outcomes. This post will require energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of this highly valued service.
